What should I wear?

Wear whatever you like – you can dress for the occasion or rock up in anything you feel comfortable in. Come as you are, whatever that happens to be! The main thing is that you feel at ease. If you’d like to dress in a particular style or hire an outfit, let us know and we can help you find the right stylist or costumier. If you’re coming with your family, we recommend dressing in a way that means you’ll all work together in the photos. Avoid shiny, reflective, stripy or checked clothes if possible. Wear comfy shoes to make sure your feet don’t get tired from all the walking (especially if that includes the cobblestoned streets of the Old Town).

Can I change clothes during the photoshoot?

In principle, sure! Let us know and we’ll try and find a corner somewhere for you to change in. But bear in mind that we’ll be in public and that it might be difficult changing your entire outfit. There’s also the fact you’ll have to carry extra clothes around with you. We normally recommend changing things up with accessories, such as a hat or glasses, a colourful scarf or a jacket you can take off.

What should I bring with me to the shoot?

As little as possible! Make sure you have your mobile with you so you can call the photographer in case you get lost or are running late. Ladies could bring a small handbag with some cosmetics, and a bit of cash if you want to stop at a café (where we can take some romantic pictures, for example). An umbrella is always a good idea. Large bags and other things are best left at your hotel – especially your passport, your own camera and anything else valuable. You’d hardly want to leave your things unattended during the photo session – they’d be easy prey for pickpockets!

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking a few weeks in advance so that you can choose the time that suits you best. We also take last-minute bookings, but no later than two working days beforehand.
How do I pay for my photoshoot?

Once we agree on a date, time and itinerary for the shoot, we’ll e-mail you a link via which you can easily and securely pay your deposit online. Then we’ll confirm the booking and the session will be locked into our calendar. Payment should be made before the session:

  • at the booking by credit card
  • in cash at the start of the session
    If you need an invoice, let us know in advance and give us your full postal address.

How much editing do you do?

Our image editing includes corrections to the colour, light balance and clarity of the pictures, cropping and natural retouching (including black and white or vintage tones). The images are delivered straight to your inbox as optimised, high-resolution photos that are ready to print.

When will I get my pictures?

The edited images will be delivered to you online (with restricted access) within two weeks of your photoshoot.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Booking a portrait session well in advance is a good idea. If the weather’s bad or any other problems arise, just let us know and we can reschedule. We don’t charge any rescheduling fees. However, deposits are non-refundable.
We take bookings for several sessions per day, so if you run late your session will have to be cut short accordingly. Thank you for your understanding! If the photographer is available, you can add additional time to your photoshoot. The add-on time is charged at 150 € per 30 minutes.

How many people can the shoot involve?

We only shoot small groups – max. 4-6 people.

What happens if the weather’s bad?

If it starts raining or snowing, we’ll contact you and either agree on an adapted itinerary that includes sheltered areas or reschedule. That said, showers here and there aren’t always a problem – they could represent a great opportunity to shoot your photos in an empty town! So make sure you bring an umbrella (for which light colours are recommended).

Do I get all of the photos you take during the session?

Your photographer will take a huge number of photos during the shoot. She’ll then choose the best shots and process them before sending them to you. Most of the remaining pictures will simply be doubles or frames that didn’t work out – with your eyes closed, or hair in your face etc. – and we don’t issue these to our clients.

What can I do with the digital pictures?

You can look at the pictures in your gallery and download them to your own computer. We always recommend saving back-up copies on another drive or disc. You can use the digital photos on your computer and online and have them printed out. The pictures we take can also be printed in wide format.

Can I order prints?

Yes – optional photo prints on fine art paper or canvas are also available. The cost and delivery time are upon request. If you already know you’ll want such prints before you start, inform your photographer during the shoot.
